Cooking has become a favourite hobby of mine. It gives me the opportunity to be creative and to please every sense of my body – not just my eyes, but also stomach and taste buds. Most of the skills I use in the kitchen are those I’ve learned from my mum, grandma and also my great-grandma. Although I enjoy European food a lot, I am also fan of world foods. Check this section of my blog for the greatest recipes that are worth sharing! Feel free to comment, I look forward to your opinions and reactions.

Drinks you’re going to love

Homemade Elderflower Cordial

Roast chicken (Czech recipe)

Juicy roast chicken with a crispy skin on top, that’s literally falling of the bone. Can be served with almost any side dish, which is just another reason to love it!

Cottage pie

British food is about comfort, rich taste and good ingredients. And that’s exactly what this pie is about. It also is a fantastic store cupboard meal. The original recipe goes with beef, but feel free to use minced pork (or combination of both), depending on what is available.

Deviled eggs

Recipe for this classic starter. It is delicious and easy to make.

Juicy tuna steaks, crispy potato wedges & salad

Tuna belongs to my favourite types of fish for its meaty texture, tenderness and rich flavour. Also, it only takes a short while to cook, which makes it a perfect go-to dinner on busy days!

Roasted duck on red cabbage

The feast of Saint Martin is celebrated on November 11. This day symbolises the end of harvest and the beginning of winter, as the first snow often arrives to Europe around this time. It is a tradition to have roasted goose or duck on this day. This is a traditional Czech recipe.
